NSI-189 is a neurogenic compound that has gained a lot of attention in recent years for its potential to treat depression, anxiety, and other cognitive disorders.
The compound was originally developed by Neuralstem, a biopharmaceutical company, as a potential treatment for major depressive disorder (MDD) and other mood disorders.
It is classified as a research chemical, so it can be acquired legally online. Keep reading to find out how it works, how it can help you and how to use it!
NSI-189 works by stimulating the growth of new neurons in the hippocampus, a part of the brain that is involved in learning, memory, and emotion regulation. This process, known as neurogenesis, has been shown to be impaired in individuals with depression and other mood disorders.
By promoting the growth of new neurons, NSI-189 may be able to improve brain function and alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety, as well as repair the brain after being damaged.
Research on NSI-189 is still in its early stages, but the initial results are promising. Scientific data shows that NSI-189 can:
Anecdotal reports show similar effects, but many users also claim that they feel an improvement in confidence, well-being and sociability.
NSI-189 users rarely report short-term side-effects. It appears to be a well-tolerated drug in both studies and anecdotal reports. Insomnia, headaches, anxiety and nausea are possible, but not common at all.
That being said, some users have reported serious side-effects like nerve tingling, manic episodes, fatigue and emotional numbness. It is worth noting, however, that users who report such side-effects often had serious mental health problems before starting NSI-189.
All in all, NSI-189 appears to be safe for mentally stable people to use in the short term.
The recommended dose is 20 to 40mg a day, taken orally for up to 3 months at a time. Start at 20mg for a couple of weeks and work your way up to 40mg if you tolerate it well.
